The Grand Trip

The bochurim woke up very early Monday morning and after Shachris and a quick breakfast were on their way to Ottawa, Ontario. Arriving there close to noon, the bochurim went around to see the guards and the other attractions, did some Mivtzoim, danced a little, and headed out.

Next, they were driven to a beutiful camping grounds next to the river, ate lunch and settled in. They then boarded busses and went to the top of the river and spent the next 5 hours rafting down the river with high levels of white water and did some other fun stuff like surfing and jumping off a cliff into the water.

Arriving back in the camping grounds already exhausted, they played in the different courts and pool/ping-pong tables until the BBQ was ready, then ate dinner and went for a heart warming bon-fire up one of the hills. After a short sleep in our own rented cabins, the bochurim woke up early, dipped in the river for Mikva, and we pulled out on a long drive to Niagra Falls.

Upon arrival we Davened and ate a delicious breakfast in the local Chabad House led by Rabbi Zaltzman.

The visit to to falls came next watching Hashem's wonders and spreading the news of Moshiach's coming to the people around us.

The Bochurim then enjoyed a few hours in the different attractions at a nearby fun center,

after which we headed to a special scuba diving course. With over an hour in the water and with all the official equipment the bochurim had a blast playing under water and enjoying the slow motion entertainment.

Next, we Davened Mincha and drove to a famous large park where the bochurim made their own schnitzel avocado wraps and relaxed after the tiring day. After dark, we were on the road headed back to our grounds,

But to the bochurim's surprise a "Maariv stop" 3 hours into the trip turned into a night's stay in a beautiful hotel. The bochurim were now able to get a real good sleep. The next morning after brochos and Mezonos the vans pulled out toward our grounds, arriving in the late morning for Chassidus and Shachris followed by a short Nigle Shiur by Rabbi Karp who came just for the few-minute shiur. The rest of the day was used by the bochurim to recover from the amazing trip and to channel the excitement and enjoyment into learning and Davening and preparing for the last Shabbos of the Yeshivas Kayitz.
